That's why we create films that transform complex ideas into human stories, helping audiences understand why the work matters—and inspiring support, trust and action. For the past ten years, I've worked with scientists, conservationists, artists and nonprofit organizations, helping them tell the stories behind their work.
Every project starts the same way: understanding the people behind it. Asking questions, spending time in the field, and finding the story that will resonate beyond the organization itself. That's how Arcillafilms came to be. Today, Arcillafilms is an independent documentary studio based in Patagonia, Chile, collaborating with organizations around the world.

The films I care most about are the ones that give organizations a story people want to share. Stories that move people emotionally, stay in their minds and become part of the conversation long after they're shared. That's where I believe storytelling creates its greatest impact.
I lead every project from the first conversation to the final film, working alongside a trusted network of cinematographers, editors, producers and sound designers, bringing together the right team for every story.
How We Work
From Understanding to Impact
Every story starts long before the camera. Strong documentary storytelling begins with understanding. Before thinking about production, we take the time to learn about the people, the mission and the questions that matter most.
We listen first.
Every organization knows its work better than anyone else. Our role is to listen, ask questions, spend time with the people behind the mission and understand what makes the work meaningful before a camera is ever turned on.
We find the story.
Not every important project has a clear story. Together, we identify the human narrative that will resonate beyond the organization itself—the one people will remember, talk about and connect with.
We make the film.
Every project requires something different. From cinematography and sound to editing and music, we bring together the right collaborators while Diego Ramos leads the creative process from beginning to end.
We help it create impact.
A film shouldn't end when it's delivered. It should continue working—supporting fundraising, campaigns, presentations and partnerships, helping the right people discover and care about the work behind it.
